Leisa + Dan | Summergrove Wedding

We are delighted to say that Leisa and Dan described their wedding day at Summergrove as “perfect”! It featured a storm, heavy mist, Sunshine and some mean dancing from Dan’s grandfather at the reception! The couple poured their hearts into their day, and Dan played a big part in the styling and planning for their big day! “I think being able to put our personal touch on so many things made the wedding planning process extra special and then seeing everything come together on the day was amazing. We built a love heart that hung above our bridal table together as a feature for the barn and it now hangs in our house. We also made the floral garlands on the guest tables, signage and place cards with the help of our family.”

“Dan and I wanted to create a wedding that was timeless, simple, a little unique and a true representation of who we are. When we first visited the newly built barn reception area at Summergrove Estate we immediately knew that our styling could be kept to a minimum to let the breathtaking views and stunning barn speak for itself.”

All of our couples worry quietly about rain but Leisa and Dan took it in their stride, navigating a very wet Summergrove! “It had been raining a lot all morning but during our exchange of vows in the ceremony rays of sunlight appeared in the chapel and it felt magical! Everything was so perfect and we remember feeling so happy in that moment. From there, the day continued to exceed all of our expectations! From the bridal party photoshoot to the speeches and sharing our first dance, we honestly had the most perfect day.”

Corrina and Mitch looked after this beautiful couple and Leisa and dan were delighted with how the day unfolded “I think the other highlight was the exceptional professionalism, creativity and skill shown by Evernew Studio photographers Corrina and Mitch. They managed to capture every moment and emotion and were a pleasure to work with!”

What was the funniest/most amusing moment of the night?

“I think watching Dan’s grandfather on the dance floor was the funniest moment from the night. We still have friends bring up his dance moves and attire and how much they loved him! There is an amazing photo of him dancing at the reception – open shirt, bare chest and bow tie which captures it all.”
